The AVT STINGRAY F-080 is a very compact CCD progressive scan camera with XGA resolution for the most demanding industrial applications with an unbeatable price/performance ratio. Available in both monochrome (STINGRAY F-080B) and colour (STINGRAY F-080C), the STINGRAY F-080 is capable of speeds of up to 31 frames per second at full resolution. It features the proven and easy to use FireWire (IEEE 1394b) interface for high performance imaging in demanding applications.
This camera operates at a high bit rate of 16-bits and so produces highly sophisticated images, resulting in a high dynamic range suitable for applications where light and dark imaging is vital. A 32MB internal frame grabber memory and a deferred transport mode make the STINGRAY F-080 ideal for multi-camera operations. Additionally, using the sequence mode camera parameters can be changed at lightning-speed. The extensive built-in image processing possibilities (image pre-processing) result in outstanding image quality, reduced retouching, less CPU load and overall higher performance. The integrated Smart Functions enable the camera to take over essential functions of a frame-grabber. It can be easily integrated into existing applications thanks to its powerful and flexible API.
This camera is also available as a 'Fiber' version (STINGRAY F-080B / F-080C fiber) where one output is a copper port and the other is a GOF connection (2 x optical fiber on LCLC). The GOF connection allows up to 500m cable lengths, equalization of potential and protection from Electro-Magnetic interference.
