Back to Dalsa Frame Grabbers
Supporting a wide variety of area and line scan
colour and monochrome cameras, the Xtium series has been engineered to
meet the emerging demands of high speed and high bandwidth to sustain
Camera Link® 80-Bit modes over longer cable distances, in a half-length,
single slot solution.
Half-length PCI Express Gen 2.0 x4 Board
Camera Link Rev 2.0 compliant
Acquires from one Base, Medium or Full Camera Link® camera
|• Supports Camera Link operations up to 85MHz
||• Extended cable distance at max data rate
||• Supports advanced Camera Link pixel/tap
|• Windows®, Windows
7, Windows 8 (32/64-bit) compatible
||• Fully supported by Sapera
||• FCC, CE and ROHS compliant
|• PoCL support for all Camera Link configurations
Leveraging the FPGA technology to implement Camera
Link protocol helps overcome conventional Camera Link limits
of long cable lengths at high data rates. This new implementation technique
allows the Xtium-CL PX4 to offer a new combination of products and features.
This compact, flexible image-acquisition and processing platform supports
multiple interfaces and delivers twice the sustained
host transfer bandwidth across extended cable lengths and without
the need for specialized motherboards or chip sets.
The Xtium-CL PX4 takes full advantage of PCIe Gen 2.0 x4 platform to deliver
a bandwidth in excess of 1.7GB/s, while at the same time supporting
PCIe Gen 1.0 slot to deliver 850MB/s via the newly engineered,
on-board, Data Transfer Engine (DTE).
By enabling maximum sustained throughput and ready-to-use image data,
the Xtium-CL PX4 minimizes CPU usage and improves processing times for
host applications. Additionally, this frame grabber has been engineered
with enhanced memory architecture allowing it to handle different sensor
tap topologies while sustaining colour decoding at the maximum frame/line
The Xtium-CL PX4 offers built-in, robust electrical signals for external
event synchronization, and status notification LEDs. One or more boards
can be synchronized to acquire images from multiple area or line scan
cameras simultaneously and supports one Base, Medium, Full or 80-bit mode
or two Base1 Camera Link cameras with Base/Medium/Full PoCL capabilities.
The Xtium series is engineered to meet the ever-increasing image resolution
and faster frame rates of today’s camera technology. So in addition
to PCIe Gen 2.0 x4 and Camera Link, upcoming models will support Camera
Link HS as well as other emerging interface standards on a PCIe Gen 2.0
Essential standard processing tool run-time license is
offered at no additional charge. The includes access to image
processing functions, areabased (normalized correlation based) template
matching tool, blob analysis and lens correction tool.
Nitrous accelerates Sapera Essential applications by providing
a seamless support for graphical processing units (GPU) and multi-core
CPUs optimization (MCO).
Architect Plus gives system integrators and industrial vision
automation specialists a user-friendly, non-programming graphical environment
to quickly prototype and test drive application specific imaging tools
within Sapera Essential and Sapera Nitrous.
