BOA2 with optional lights

Easy to use; gives precise inspection results; no-effort installation
• Pattern matching • Precision measurements • Flaw detection • Colour ID and verification
• Presence/absence of features
• Robot guidance • Part idendification • 2D matrix reading • Bar code reading
• Optical Character Recognition

Offering greater accurary and the ability to detect smaller defects, the BOA2 is a complete vision system inside a compact, smart camera. Capturing defects that have been previously difficult to resolve or lost with lower resolution imagers is easy using BOA2.

Together with having high resolution, BOA2 combines lighting, image capture, processing and easy-to-use embedded vision software into a convenient single device with a variety of I/O and mounting options with more pixels, power and integration flexibility for automating parts and assembly inspection. The combination of the BOA2 system together with the expanded iNspect Express user interface ensure production quality, minimising product recalls and so reducing costs.

Offered with 2, 3 or 5M pixel resolution, for very high speed applications, the BOA2's CMOS sensor format can be changed to achieve inspection rates of up to 80 parts per second. Additionally, the 2M model supports an optional integrated LED ring light with built-in collimators that provide powerful, uniform lighting across the inspection area.

The sensor supports standard C mount lenses which, together with the optional LED light, can be enclosed within a protective cover to safeguard against accidental damage or tampering making the BOA2 rated for use in harsh industrial environments.
