With applications in the aeronautical safety and life science imaging
industries, the OCAM²k offers more speed, more pixels and additional
infrared options, all contained in a compact, robust package built for
reliability.
With a speed above 2000 frames-per-second, achieved by optimising and
redesigning the electronics of its predecessor, the OCAM²k achieves
this speed without compromising other compelling characteristics of the
OCAM 2 family. Readout noise is low with values down to 0.1e-, Dark Signal
is negligible, and latency has improved at 43µs between exposure
and first pixel availability.
Should more than 2000 full-sized (240 x 240 pixels) images per second
not be fast enough, an optional 2x 2 binning mode can output 120x120 pixels
at 3700 images-per-second.
A unique attribute of the OCAM²k is the inclusion of Deep Depletion
Silicon feature for enhanced red sensitivity - to date, the only EMCCD
camera to offer this distinctive feature.
