Providing an excellent tool for critical
research, diagnostics and troubleshooting, the 1 megapixel Phantom v2012
captures and saves up to 22 gigapixels-per-second of data at full
resolution of 1280 x 800. Reducing the resolution results in frame rates
of up to 666 0000 frames-per-second. Ordered with the FAST option as an
extra, provides up to 1 000 000 fps at 128 x 32 resolution. It also provides
a minimum exposure time of 290ns, regardless of frame rate and resolution;
these apabilities further expand the v2012’s versatility.
The benefits
Memory and storage management
Maximum flexibility is provided via either 72GB, 144GB or 288GB
of high-speed memory that can be divided into up to 63 segments.
A camera with 288GB of memory, recording at 10,000 fps at 1280
x 800 can record a single high-speed shot
for up to almost 20 seconds. If memory is segmented into up to 63 segments,
shorter cines can be recorded into each segment back-to-back without missing
any action.
Additionally, cine save times can be minimised using the Phantom CineMag
IV, an option that saves any shot from high-speed RAM to a 1TB or
2TB CineMag in seconds. With the ability to save 1GB/s of data to an attached
CineMag IV,
a 288GB shot can be saved in under 5 minutes and the cine securely stored
in non-volatile memory.
Easy to use
Easy access is assured with common signal connections conveniently
located on the back panel, which include connections for timecode, dual
power inputs, HD-SDI, a GPS input, frame synchronization, and trigger.
The two HD-SDI ports can act as identical 4:2:2 HD-SDI ports with one
port set up to provide an (optional) on-screen display for monitoring
the on-camera controls and camera operation. They can also be configured
as a single 4:4:4 Dual-Link HD-SDI port.
Controlling motion blur
The v2012 has a global electronic shutter capable of exposures
as fast as 1 µs on a standard camera, or up to 265 ns with the export
controlled FAST option depending on the camera model. This “freezes
motion” and eliminates motion blur in the most demanding of applications.
Sensor characteristics
The rectangular shape of the 1Mpx sensor keeps moving objects
in the frame for a longer period.
Electronic
global shutter
The global electronic shutter is
capable of exposures as fast as 1 µs on a standard
camera, or 500 ns with the FAST option to completely freeze motion
without motion blurring.
Image-Based Auto-Trigger:
Trigger the camera (or even a number of connected cameras) from motion
detected within the live image. This makes it easier to catch events that
are not predictable and may occur infrequentlyV
Super-fast download
The 10G Ethernet transfers data at up to 600 MB/second on optimized
systems, saving time and giving access to critical data much faster.
