Small, lightweight, rugged and packed with advanced features,
the Phantom Miro is the most accessible high-speed cameras available today.
Ideal for a huge variety of applications that require moderate frame rates
at common resolutions, the Miro M / LC-Series are now joined by the R-Series
body style which adds a rugged, high-g rated camera to
the Miro family. The main difference between the M and LC
models is the addition of a flip-out touch screen on
the LC-Series. This adds about 12mm to the width of the camera. It also
adds an on-camera control interface and a live preview image
for framing, focus, and playback from RAM. There are no other functional
differences or differences in specifications.
Consisting of a 1 megapixel camera with 1.6 Gigapixels/second
throughput, the camera provides 1,600 frames-per-second at full
1280 x 800 resolution, a minimum digital exposure of 2µs
and is available in both colour and monochrome versions.
Each Miro camera comes with CineFlash storage technology
- a removable, non-volatile device that slides into the camera body and
provides a way to save shots, quickly, from the camera's memory without
the need for time-consuming and costly downloads. The CineFlash module
can be later removed from the camera and inserted into the docking station
connected to a computer making cines stored on the CineFlash immediately
available on the computer. Cines can also be transferred from the camera
to a computer and the images edited using Phantom Camera Control software.
A 120GB CineFlash and Dock are included in the camera purchase
price and can be upgraded to 240GB.
Each Miro camera supports four lens mounts: F-, C-, PL- or EOS. EOS mounts
allow the use of Canon EF and EF-S automated lenses.
Lens aperture and focus can be adjusted remotely using the Remote Control
Unit or Phantom Camera Control software.
Other advanced features include an internal capping shutter, Image-Based
Auto-Trigger, camera synchronization and immediate playback of recorded
cines.
