5 Megapixel Board Cameras
New iDS uEye LE cameras
iDS has released 4 new colour models to their uEye LE CMOS board camera series: UI-1485LE-C, UI-1486LE-C, UI-1487LE-C and UI-1488LE-C. The uEye LE cameras stand out as a compact, inexpensive and versatile range universally suited through USB 2.0 technology, making them ideally compatible with PCs, notebooks, IPC and embedded systems. Some of the features include optional housing customization, flexible Software Development Kit (SDK) and bandwidth management.
These pocket-sized board cameras feature high-quality CMOS sensors with ultra high QSXGA resolution of 2560x1920 pixels. The 1/2" Bayer RGB sensor is capable of frame speeds of up to 6 frames per second at full resolution and significantly higher frame rates with Binning, Sub sampling or Areas of Interest (AOI). This is driven by the camera's freely selectable pixel clock.
iDS LE series cameras provide a cost effective solution for many OEM applications where the camera is designed into a system or instrument. The uEye LE series comes in different variants with or without housing so can be fitted into an instrument or system design more easily and more cheaply. The LE models can also be used as the basis for special project-related designs.
The UI-1485LE-C is an enclosed board camera with CS-mount for lenses
which allows for the use of compact, low-cost lenses. The other three
models are not enclosed. The UI-1486LE-C comes with S-mount lens adapter
for M12 screw-mounted lenses, which achieve a slimmer profile. The UI-1487LE-C
has board only with M14 lens adapter. The UI-1488LE-C is a board camera
with no lens adapter.
The board level models with lens adapter measure 36 x 36 x 20 mm and
weigh only 12g while the UI-1488LE-C without the lens is only 36 x 36
x 8 mm weighing a mere 8g.
The LE series CMOS USB2 cameras feature advantages such as bandwidth
management via the USB bus which allows for dynamic bandwidth assignment
meaning that each connected device (camera) is allocated its own bandwidth
rather than trying to occupy the entire bus. The camera's Software Development
Kit (SDK) provides over 100 functions to the user and makes it possible
for integration with C++, C# and VB and is suitable for Windows and Linux
development. The camera SDK functionality allows for full control of the
camera operation and the process of acquiring images.
The iDS uEye LE series offers good affordability and compatibility and is suitable to many OEM applications - Your imagination is our challenge.
