Announcing: Common Vision Blox V 10.2 - Powerful imaging software for WindowsCVB Match 3D

Common Vision Blox

Update free-of-charge to registered users of CVB. And more.

STEMMER IMAGING is proud to announce Version 10.2 of the Common Vision Blox (CVB) programming library.

The new version fully supports all 32-Bit versions of Microsoft Windows 7 and includes the AIA certified CVB GenICam driver that is compatible with the latest GenICam V2.0 Standard.

What's new?
The latest release of the CVB DVD includes new tools for specific vision applications and tasks. Included in the toolkit is:

CVB Movie 2 for sequence recording
CVB Movie 2 allows additional text meta data, such as time stamps to be recorded into the AVI structure. This data is not visible on the recorded image, but explicitly assigned to each individual image.

CVB Movie Interactive 2,
This user-interface tool is included as an option and offers comprehensive recording and processing functions without requiring the user to develop their own interface.

CVB 10.2 also incorporates two new tools for 3D applications.

CVB Metric 3D
CVB Metric 3D is a powerful calibration algorithm for 3D point clouds and uses a specific calibration target for the individual calibration of 3D point clouds before creating real measurements in 3D.

If laser triangulation is used to generate 3D images, local occlusions of the laser line might lead to undefined areas in the 3D data. CVB Merge 3D allows the views from multiple cameras and views of the same laser line from different angles to be merged into one height image to minimize the occurrence of these occlusions.

CVB Version 10.2 includes comprehensive documentation and sample applications

Where can I get CVB V 10.2?
This update is free-of-charge for registered users of Common Vision Blox. A free 14-day trial version for all components is also available for feasibility and performance tests.

Downloadable from the site are a variety of items including the upgrade to CVB 10.2 for registered users, updates for Image Manager, Foundation Package, CVB Tools and driver files for supported image-acquisition devices such as cameras, frame grabbers and vision systems.

CVB software is GigE Vision validated

Common Vision Blox is the first, and indeed only, software package in the world to have taken and successfully passed the GigE Vision validation test set by the Automated Imaging Association (AIA). The AIA validation extends far beyond the previous certification, which was based only on the unverified manufacturer assurances that the products met the standard. Users can now feel confidence when they see the official GigE Vision logo, as only products with this logo have been tested by the AIA for full GigE Vision compatibility.
