Comprehensive tests conclude that iDS uEye USB 2.0 series of industrial cameras are compatible with the USB 3.0.

Available mainboards that offered "Superspeed" USB 3.0 ports were trialled and results show that not only were the uEye cameras compatible with the 3.0 standard but, further, that existing cables and hubs were also compatible and so negating the need to make new investments.

Note: In a few circumstances, the USB 3.0 port was not able to retrieve data from the camera as quickly as could a USB 2.0 port and in these cases, it is recommended that developers with vendors to determine whether they need to download and install new card drivers.
