|  Bringing
to imaging advantages previously possible only via CCD sensors,
the new uEye CMOS ev2 sensor blurs the distinction between
the two types of imagers.
Providing not only global shutter readout, extremely
high sensitivity and outstanding colour fidelity,
also possible is a fast line scan to the 1.3 megapixel
UI-1240 (USB) and UI-5240 (GigE) models.
Using the above cameras, one line can be selected from of the sensor's
1024 lines which will then be read out at 64kHz (GigE model) and
20 kHz (USB) model, thus effectively allowing an area scan
camera to operate in line scan mode. Triggering the start
of these frames with an external signal allows the sensor to transfer
every 1000 lines as one frame.
This feature, in particular, makes these all-round cameras
the perfect, simple solution for applications such as endless
web-inspections systems.
