About the Award Teledyne DALSA's Piranha HS 12K TDI Line Scan camera has been honoured by its selection as one of four finalists in Test & Measurement World's Best-in-Test Award. This award is bestowed on companies that introduced a product that is a significant advancement in the test, measurement and inspection field in the past 12 months. About the camera Boasting a combination of advantages including speed, resolution and sensitivity, the Piranha HS 12K 90kHZ camera's innovative technology allows users to reduce the number of cameras while still maintaining the line rates and responsivity necessary for high-performance applications.
Claimed as being the world's first 12k TDI camera, the Piranha HS 12k is capable of transmitting over 1 gigapixel, with a maximum line rate of 90 kHz and with 12 000 pixel resolution, providing optimal system performance in a compact form. Delivering unprecedented speeds and featuring Teledyne DALSA's cutting-edge time delay and integration (TDI) technology, the Piranha HS 12K's high performance comes from a compact mechanical body of 180 x 90 x 92.5 mm and with advanced capabilities such as bi-directional operation , antiblooming and programmability. Ideally suited for high-speed continuous web applications such as paper, textile, metal extrusions: flat-panel display; electronics, PCB and others , implementing the Piranha HS 12K will result in users being able to design and deliver even higher system performance and throughput.
