The
perfect starting point
Fitting between your fingertips
the GO-5000 shares some of the features offered by the much larger
SPARK series. Thee GO-5000 models offer a CMOS 5-megapixel imager
in a simple, cost-lowering package weighing
only 46 grams and is well-suited to entry-level applications.
With a combination or ROI and binning capabilities this tiny camera
can become almost anything - from a superfast VGA camera (at nearly
450 fps) to a super-sensitive camera using binning* to create 10-micron,
or even-20-micron effective pixel sizes.
The GO-5000 series has been built for reliability and carries an
industrial-grade rating of 10G vibration and 80G shock. JAI's confidence
in their cameras' durability enables us tooffer a three-year warranty
for the series.
High
image quality
The GO-5000 features the Lince5M sensor with global shutter. 5-micron
square pixels, good signal-to-noise ratio, analog gain, a built-in
lookup table, and other advanced features help ensure image quality
beyond entry-level expectations.
Choice of interfaces
Go Series cameras are available with a choice of advanced digital
interfaces to best fit needs. Options include powered interfaces,
where a single-cable solution is desired, as well as both frame-grabber-based
and "grabberless" configurations.
The flexibility
to suit different applications
One of the GO-5000’s
most attractive features is the tremendous flexibility it offers
to suit different applications.
Rather than selecting a specific camera model based on resolution
or optical requirements, the ROI and binning capabilities of the
GO-5000 have been designed to provide a wide range of flexibility
within a single camera model.
For example, by windowing the camera to a centered 1920 x 1080 area,
a 2-megapixel, 1080p HD camera with a 2/3” optical format
can be created, due to the 5-micron square pixels which provide
an 11.014 mm diagonal.
Many other configurations are possible. (See illustration
right)
In addition, the GO-5000-PMCL’s multiple sensor taps and dual
Camera Link interface enables output of 1080p-sized ROI at anywhere
from 79 fps for full 12-bit data over a single-cable Base configuration,
all the way up to 200 fps for 8- bit or 160 fps for 10-bit output
over a two-cable Camera Link Full configuration.
Applications
The versatility of these cameras, coupled with their low
price, makes them adaptable to a wide range of machine vision applications.
• The cameras are well-suited to robotics/unmanned vehicle
applications
• They can be used for any application requiring an affordable
yet high-performing camera, or one where the camera must fit into
a tight space
• Their small size and light weight are ideal for applications
which require repetitive camera movement such as any application
where the camera is mounted to a linear stage or motion-controlled
arm
