High resolution
Small and robust build
Low price
Smaller, faster, stronger, cheaper and better while retaining high image quality

Introducing Genie NANO
The Genie NANO is the synergy of two technologies: Teledyne DALSA's "TurboDrive" innovation and Sony's Pregius 2.3 M pixel CMOS sensor
. These two technologies combine to create a camera that redefines low-cost performance while delivering full image quality at faster frame rates - often 150% or higher - with no network or application changes.

There is now no need to choose between performance, comprehensive functionality, reliability and cost
and while the market provides other low-cost, GigE cameras, none of them have the "TurboDrive" capability which lets Genie Nano run faster than any other camera currently available.

Furthermore, in spite of its small size, Genie NANO brings to your application, a bigger feature set than any other comparable camera. Its robust-build not only gives a wider temperature range but also makes the Genie NANO capable of long-term operation and so adding reliability and longevity to its list of virtues.

Genie NANO offers a viable, wider, deeper feature set and an affordable option for applications that need high reliability

About TurboDrive
Camera resolution and speed have grown so much that GigE can't keep up any more.

Specifically designed for GigE networks, TurboDrive is a technology which enables cameras to transmit information at a rate exceeding the constraints of Gige Ethernet by using advanced data encoding techniques that look at redundancy in the data coming out of the sensor.

Made necessary by the rise of fast, large CMOS sensors, TurboDrive eases the subsequent GigE network bottleneck by increasing the throughput without having to revert to using more expensive technologies to move images to the host computer and without image quality being affected. TurboDrive is more efficient because it packs the same information in less bits

TurboDrive does not require any hardware or software changes to a network or to an application and is available with Genie Nano models: M1940 GigE MC1940 GigE

About Sony Pregius CMOS sensor

Combining the best elements of CCD and CMOS sensors, the Pregius is global shutter pixel technology for active pixel-type CMOS image sensors that use Sony’s low-noise CCD structure, and gives high picture quality. The Pregius sensor is available in colour and monochrome, a frame rate of 84 fps
