Alvium Starter Kit to develop your application

Allied Vision have joined forces with MVTec to produce the Alvium
embedded vision starter kit. The kit enables developers to begin
developing immediately without the need to design and build specific
customised components of the system. MVTec's contribution simplifies
the initial development and testing of the system and with the purchase
of HALCON enables development of a full custom application.
Camera Kit contents:
Hardware:
- Alvium 1500 C-120c colour camera with S-Mount and open housing
- Allied Vision lens S-6-F1.8-5MP-T1-2.5-IRC
- 420mm CSI-2 flex cable
- CSI-2 Adapter Board for NVIDIA Jetson Nano / Xavier NX Dev Kit
- Alvium tripod mounting plate
- PCB Triangle for demo applications
Software:
- Machine Vision Software MVTec HALCON * (in form of a browser-based
demo application and executable without additional license)
- MIPI CSI-2 Driver
- Pre-configured SD card image
* With the starter kit,
users can run the pre-installed application examples. Developing
custom applications using HALCON's extensive toolbox is possible
with a development license of MVTec HALCON not included.

In order to get the demo
working, a customer will still have to buy the following:
- NVIDIA Jetson Nano development Kit
- Power supply for DevKit and CSI-2 Adapter
- Camera tripod with mounting
- SD Card (32 or 64 GB)
The special items in this kit is the
triangle provided. This triangle (with the free demo software
from MVTec) will showcase the following functions:
1. Matching
2. Bar code reading
3. Pose estimation (shows the x, y, z orientation)
4. Deep Learning (able to determine if PCB is front or back
side)

The demo software will only perform the above, and you are not able
to build a system around it. For a custom application, a full licence
is required. However,
this demo allows the customer to have an understanding of the possible
functionality so they would know which licence to purchase.
