iDS expands on the already feature-rich iDS NXT Ocean

Back to Newsletter

iDS NXT Ocean latest update

The latest update of the iDS NXT Ocean allows users to select different neural networks for different ROIs ("Region of Interest") within a single image. Another new feature is the linescan mode, with which an image or image section can be captured or scanned line by line. This is useful to obtain an "unwound" image of a cylindrical surface or to scan a continuous web product as in paper production and to perform AI analyses in continuous line inspection.

The iDS NXT Ocean is an all-in-one package that provides you with everything you need to create your own AI inference camera. It significantly simplifies the workflow related to training and running neural networks. The iDS Ocean package consists of a choice of NXT Rio or Rome AI inference camera and the iDS NXT Lighthouse cloud-based AI model generator. NXT Lighthouse creates the AI inference model that is uploaded and run on the camera.

The NXT Ocean is designed so that users can use image processing with AI without prior knowledge of camera programming and deep learning. It has all the tools and workflows you need to quickly and effectively deploy an intelligent camera for industrial applications. The NXT Lighthouse web-based AI training service is an intuitive online platform that allows users to easily and quickly label and classify objects in just a few steps. iDS NXT Lighthouse enables users to manage images for training of AI based image processing tasks and to create individual neural networks.

Time efficiency Secure Flexibility
With traditional programming techniques a well-qualified professional is required to develop rules for classification or object detection. This is time-consuming and expensive. With the iDS NXT Ocean, the task of developing models for classification and object detection is simpler, quicker and easier and requires far less expertise.
The iDS NXT Ocean package provides all the components needed to create, train and run a neural network. It is easy-to-use and ready-to-go.The NXT Ocean is designed so that users can use image processing with AI without prior knowledge of camera programming and deep learning.

With the iDS NXT Ocean, all the components you need to train and run neural networks are bundled into one easy and quick-to-use package.

With the iDS NXT Lighthouse system all customer data is stored in highly secure servers using the Amazon Web Server cloud. iDS customers benefit from a data center and network architecture specifically designed to meet the highest standards of data protection and security. While being highly secure, the AWS infrastructure provides sufficient power and server space to complete the training process of a neural network very efficiently and quickly. With the IDS NXT Ocean, training and running neural networks is simple and can be applied to a wide variety of applications. You only require images and the ability to label those images and you can apply this AI technology to almost any application that requires classification or object detection.
Applications
- As an inference camera for AI based image processing:
- With self created neural networks (expert level)
- Networks created with IDS NXT lighthouse
+ Anomaly detection, surface analysis, defect detection, classification tasks
