Smallest industrial grade UV imaging device available on the market

Allied Vision have launched several Alvium camera models with 4th Generation Sony Pregius S IMX487 backside illuminated (BSI) CMOS sensors with ultraviolet (UV) sensitivity. The BSI global shutter UV CMOS sensor is designed for demanding applications in the UV spectral range.

Alvium UV cameras are the smallest industrial grade ultraviolet imaging devices on the market and are suitable for building extremely compact OEM systems for embedded and machine vision applications.

The new Alvium UV models incorporate the innovative 8.1 MP Sony Pregius S IMX487 CMOS sensor designed for wavebands between 200 nm to 400 nm. This makes them suitable for many industrial and scientific imaging applications in the near- and mid-UV range that require high quality UV images with low noise and high resolution/frame rates. With the industry's smallest pixel size of only 2.74µm, the cameras are able to detect the smallest details at high UV sensitivity.

The industrial grade Alvium UV cameras, which include software and drivers, provide a plug & play experience whenever setting up machine vision applications beyond the visible. The small form factor and low weight makes Alvium UV cameras ideally suitable for OEM system designs.
