The Falcon4-CLHS M4400 camera by Teledyne Dalsa is designed using leading industrial sensors from Teledyne e2v. The Falcon4-CLHS M4400 camera, with a Camera Link HS (CLHS) interface is designed to excel in imaging applications where high frame rate, large resolution and deterministic data delivery is required.

The Falcon4-CLHS M4400 features an 11.2 megapixel sensor (APS-C, 27 mm x 15 mm) that can run at up to 330 frames-per-second and even higher frame rates can be accessed in high throughput production environments by using binning or partial scan modes. Available only in monochrome, the Teledyne Dalsa e2v Lince sensor in the Falcon4-CLHS M4400 is suited primarily to applications where measurement is the key focus. Discarding colour allows this camera to image with up to 1.33x higher clarity and so provide precise measurements.

The CLHS interface requires a frame grabber to be fitted to the computer and it delivers data to host memory with low latency and in a known time using DMA transfer capability built in to the Dalsa frame grabber. Applications that require real-time or in-time analysis benefit greatly by using CLHS and are further benefited by Teledyne Dalsa's T2IR capability which offers more reliable data transfer and diagnostics.
