Linea2 trilinear CMOS sensor in 4k resolution

Teledyne Dalsa have unveiled the cutting-edge Linea2 4k colour camera, featuring a 5GigE interface for seamless connectivity. This line-scan camera delivers outstanding image quality at 4k resolution with a powerful trilinear CMOS sensor developed by Teledyne Imaging that features a low 9e- read noise, 34ke- full well capacity, 72 dB Dynamic Range, 12-bit on chip Analog to Digital Converter, digital Correlated Double Sampling for noise reduction and independent exposure control.

Using 3x independent sensor lines each with its own primary colour filter, the need for colour interpolation is removed and so it delivers higher quality RGB images, making it an ideal choice for a wide range of applications. These include Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) to Optical Sorting Systems, Materials Grading, Web Inspection, Printing Inspection, and General-Purpose Machine Vision and any other application that requires high resolution accurate colour.

The L2-GC-04k04T-00 Linea2 camera elevates camera performance for existing users of the older Linea series' and also offers a cost-effective path to higher capabilities. It harnesses the power of standard Cat5e or Cat6 network cables to provide the capability for 5x times the bandwidth of previous Linea GigE cameras and eliminates the need for a frame grabber. Thanks to a clever design by Teledyne Dalsa, they have created a path for a seamless upgrade to enhance performance without compromising on connectivity or affordability.
