Capture
beyond the visible: Phantom high-speed UV Cameras
|
A
number of Phantom High-Speed cameras including the T2410, T3610
and the TMX high-speed cameras (TMX 7510 / 6410 / 5010) are available
with a unique feature that allows light in the ultraviolet (UV)
spectrum to be captured. They have over 70% QE at 300 nm and they
also operate in the visible and Near-InfraRed spectrums up to
1000nm.

The
best part?
Aside from the Spectral Response Curve,
all of these Phantom High-Speed cameras with extended UV capabilities
maintain the same frame rates, resolutions, modes, Phantom features,
FAST options and optical specifications as their standard counterparts.

Applications
Phantom's high speed UV cameras bring capability to a broad range
of applications like Combustion efficiency analysis and OH* Chemiluminescence,
Laser Induced Fluorescence Spectroscopy, Bio-medical research,
UV-VIS Spectroscopy and more.
For example gas turbines are seen as a vital enabling technology
for renewable energy sources as they are highly dispatchable,
meaning they can be rapidly deployed to stabilize the grid. A
promising way to reduce carbon emissions is to increase the use
of hydrogen as a fuel. OH (Hydroxide) is a marker for high-temperature
reactions or heat release. Capturing the light emitted by the
OH radicals when going from the excited state back down to the
ground state allows these Phantom UV cameras to record and measure
milliseconds long events and facilitate these combustion studies.
Phantom UV
cameras are flexible and can also be used for visible and NIR
work, simply fit the right lens and filter and you can operate
from anywhere between 250nm to 1050nm with better sensitivity.
Please contact Adept
Turnkey for more information about the cameras and lenses / filters
to suit.
