All-in-one, high speed, high resolution, Contact Image Sensor
AxCIS is a comprehensive, seamlessly integrated line scanning solution that combines pixels, lenses, and illumination. This innovative Contact Image Sensor (CIS) is user-friendly and provides an economical option for various demanding machine vision line scan applications. It boasts an enhanced signal-to-noise ratio and incorporates a Camera Link HS SFP+ fiber optic interface.
At its core, AxCIS leverages Teledyne Dalsa's cutting-edge quadlinear CMOS image sensors, achieving impressive line rates of up to 120 kHz for monochrome and 60 kHz x 3 for colour with a resolution of 900 dpi. Additionally, the sensors come pre-calibrated to pixel size and are available in both colour and monochrome variants.
AxCIS streamlines the installation process, fitting into confined spaces without requiring intricate alignment or calibration. A single 24v power supply suffices for operation.
AxCIS offers High Dynamic Range (HDR) imaging through a dual exposure mode. This setup allows one row of the sensor array to have a prolonged exposure for dark scenes and another row with a shorter exposure for bright scenes. This innovative approach enhances capability with highly reflective materials by expanding the dynamic range.
The unique staggered design of AxCIS ensures full coverage of the entire field of view without missing pixel values that need to be interpolated. Each pixel contains native data for genuine monochrome or colour images, and automatic tap balancing ensures a seamlessly stitched image without interpolation. AxCIS is available in widths of 400mm, 800mm, and other increments of 100mm, providing flexibility to suit various application needs.
