These outstanding Sony Pregius-S 4th Generation sensor models, IMX545, IMX546, and IMX547, are set to be incorporated into iDS uEye+ camera models. The Pregius-S sensors will be implemented into the iDS uEye+ CP (sugarcube format, 29 x 29 mm), uEye+ SE (board-level and fully enclosed) and uEye+ FA (with IP65/67 protection) camera models.
The three selected Sony IMX Pregius-S sensors provide resolutions of 2472 x 2064 (IMX547), 2856 x 2848 (IMX546), and 4128 x 3008 (IMX545). These sensors are equipped with global shutter technology. The "S" in Pregius-S stands for "stacked" and in the Pregius-S design the wiring and circuitry layers are stacked below the photodiodes. Leveraging Backside Illumination (BSI) technology and a small 2.74 µm pixel, users can enjoy outstanding optical performance with high resolution. Notably, the 2/3" IMX546 sensor stands out (models applicable: GV-51J0CP Rev.2.2, GV-51J0FA Rev.1.2, GV-51J0SE Rev.4.2, GV-51J1SE Rev.4.2, GV-51J2SE Rev.4.2) with its square format, maximizing image content capture when observing a scene. These industrial cameras are suited to a wide range of applications from inspection tasks to medical technology and traffic monitoring.

Before an iDS camera is integrated into an application, its performance can be fully evaluated using the iDS Peak Cockpit application. Peak controls cameras and captures images without having to write a single line of programme code. The intuitive user interface offers control of the numerous camera functions and settings.
