Teledyne FLIR Forge 1GigE IP67 ingress protection

Teledyne FLIR have announced the release of a new series of Forge 1GigE cameras with cutting-edge Sony® CMOS image sensors that range from 1.2 MP to 12 MP resolution. The Forge 1GigE IP67 camera family is designed for ease-of-use and is offered at an attractive price-point. These cameras are designed to perform in the harshest industrial environments that requite ingress protection (IP67), robust and reliable data capture and data transfer.

An IP rating is defined by the IEC (International Electro-technical Commission) and describes an enclosure’s ability to protect from the ingress of water and dust. The first number in the two number classification defines the enclosure’s ability to protect against dust ingress and the second number, protection against water ingress. IP67 is defined as the ability to protect from dust particles of any size and from water at a submerged depth of 1m for 30 minutes.

The Forge 1GigE IP67 is built with a cylindrical enclosure for optimal and easy system integration, simplified post operation washing and the prevention of dirt accumulation.
