30MP Genie Nano 5GigE M5420 by Teledyne Dalsa

The Genie Nano 5G M5420 and Genie Nano 5G C5420 is a Global Shutter camera that is designed to operate on a 5GigE network to provide high bandwidth with 30 Megapixel resolution. These cameras offer TurboDrive and Trigger to Image Reliability for breakthrough speeds and reliable performance.

The cameras use an On-Semi XGS30000 sensor which provides faster frame rates than the 15fps 5GigE allows, but with Teledyne Dalsa’s TurboDrive mode the M/C5420 can output at up the maximum frame rate of the sensor which is 19.3fps. 5GigE with TurboDrive delivers the same throughput as 10GE without the associated high cost of ownership of 10GigE. Without TurboDrive 5GigE supports 595MB/sec and with TurboDrive 985MB/sec. The Genie Nano 5GigE M/C5420 supports 1, 2.5 and 5GigE options.

The Genie Nano 5GigE M5420 and Genie Nano 5GigE C5420 are built for industrial automation, electronics manufacturing, packaging, semiconductor inspection, and general machine vision inspection.

All of Teledyne Dalsa's Genie Nano-5GigE cameras offer the Trigger to Image Reliability (T2IR) framework. T2IR is a combination of hardware and software features that underpin Genie Nano's overall system functionality making it reliable in the most challenging environments. T2IR monitors and controls the entire process from camera trigger through image capture to the transfer of image data to host memory. T2IR manages in-built camera memory to store images temporarily in overflow conditions due to unexpected transfer bottlenecks. More than that, it allows the system designer to monitor, audit and debug image flow during system integration. That means no lost data, no false data, and a clear source to identify and track any errors.

The Genie Nano 5GigE M/C5420 cameras are designed with a compact, all metal body and come with a range of additional features including partial scan mode, multiple regions of interest, multi-exposure feature, IEEE1888 (Precision Time Protocol) support, binning, Cycling Mode HDR Mode.
