3D Coaxial line confocal sensors are designed for imaging in 3D at extremely high magnifications. They use a laser line and imager to profile a surface as it passes by in motion as do standard 3D laser profilers, but they do so at high magnification using a confocal approach where all light rays in the laser line are parallel and in combination with pinhole optics has the effect of increasing depth of field far beyond what’s expected at high magnification and removes shadows to prevent occlusions in the 3D surface map.
The Gocator 4000 Series provides exceptional X-resolutions (up to 1.9 microns) and terrific Z-performance for fine feature detection and precise 3D shape and 2D measurement.
Built by LMI, a proven leader in the 3D scanning and inspection industry, Gocator 4000 leverages coaxial line confocal sensor technology to support LMIs Line Confocal portfolio of 3D sensors. These 3D sensors provide high-speed, high-resolution, versatile performance with outstanding angular range (Max Slope Angle up to +/- 85 degrees) for manufacturing applications in Consumer Electronics, EV Battery, and many more. The angular range allows end users to capture extremely accurate height data.
The Gocator 4000 provides shadow-free 3D inline inspection. Shadowing can result in incomplete or inaccurate 3D models, especially for objects with complex shapes, deep grooves or protruding components. The Gocator 4000 is designed to handle all materials, parts and features.
Gocator 4000 is robust with an IP50 protection rating and easily mounted with M6 mounting holes on the side and back of the sensor body.
