Sapera Nitrous is an application-acceleration platform for Sapera Vision Software and one part of the three components in the Sapera family.

Integrated with Sapera Essential, Sapera Nitrous offers image acquisition, control, and processing and analysis functions to design, develop and deploy high-performance machine vision applications.

Providing sealmless support for graphical processing units and multi-core CPUoptimisation, Sapera Nitrous has the ability to grab images from wide range of area and line scan colour and monochrome camera. In addition, it supports image acquisition from standard format cameras like GigE Vision, Camera Link, analog, and LVDS where the acquired images can be displayed with non-destructive overlaid graphical annotations.

Equipped with flexible controls and designed to exploit the power of both GPU and Multi-core CPUs to accelerate processing time and free up CPU, Sapera Nitrous supports a comprehensive library of highly optimized image processing functions categorized in several groups. Additonally, existing Sapera spplicatons can run Nitrous without modification and so immediately leveraging faster program execution.

Sapera Nitrous comes bundled with several demos and source code examples to delineate optimum coding practices.
