Introducing the third generation of Phantom
Miro M series cameras. Small, lightweight, rugged
and packed with advanced features. The most accessible high-speed
cameras available today, the Miro M-Series cameras are ideal for
a huge variety of applications that require moderate frame rates
at common resolutions.
Applications
From crash testing, missile range and explosives testing to microscopy
and laboratory based environments, the Miro M series cameras contain
a range of design features specifically tailored to scientific,
industrial and defence industries, each model supporting IRIG-B
time code.
Features
The 1MP Miro M series cameras boast extremely high sensitivity with
large square 20um pixels.
Miro M have all the standard triggering features and for situations
where physical triggering is problematic, image based auto trigger
(IBAT) can be used to solve previously insurmountable issues. PIV
mode is available on all Miro M models, with a straddle time as
low as 500 nanoseconds.
Extended dynamic range is a standard feature on the Miro M series
This features allows the capture of detail in areas where other
high-speed cameras cannot capture efficiently.
Another standard feature built-in to the Miro M series is the mechanical
shutter used for dark field calibration CSR. Previously and with
competitive cameras this needs to be done by manually placing a
cap over the lens to block light. Miro M allows this to be done
automatically, optimising the image quality as conditions and settings
in the camera change. This is also a big benefit when the camera
is remote to the operator.
The new Miro M series provides the operator with an efficient and
fast Raw workflow, capturing footage at speeds of up to 3260 frames
per second at 1280x800 pixels and, at reduced resolutions, the cameras
operate at speeds up to 65000 frames-per-second.
Available in 3, 6 or 12 GB memory configurations allowing record
times of up to 7.8 seconds at 1000 frames per second, the new Miro
M series also introduces a new feature to the Phantom family, CineFlash.
CineFlash (see image below) is a 60, 120 or 240GB on-board, removable,
non-volatile storage cartridge which allows a transfer speed of
up to 2.8GB/minute. Image cines can be quickly transferred from
volatile memory to Cineflash, and when full the Cineflash can be
unplugged from the camera and placed into the CineFlash docking
station (see image below) to transer Cines to a PC. Cineflash is
supplied standard with Miro M cameras. Cines can also be directly
downloaded from camera to PC via a fast Gigabit ethernet connection.
The GigE connection also offers full control of the Miro M camera
with an extensive suite of easy-to-use tools in the Phantom PCC
software supplied with the camera. Optionally the Phantom Remote
Control Unit (RCU) (see image below)LCD touch screen controller
can be used for control. It has ergonomic controls and an easy to
use touchscreen interface with live video displayed.
Interchangeable lens mounts are available on the new Miro cameras
which allow you to select the right optic for the job. Lens mounts
are available in 35mm PL, Canon EOS, Nikon F mount and C mount,
allowing you to interface with a range of microscopes, borescopes
and scientific instruments.
