Teledyne DALSA have released an expanded Genie TS feature
set with new field upgradable FPGA designs for no extra charge. The
firmware is a field-upgradable design file enabling this camera family
with specific features, to support a variety of embedded operations.
In addition to the new standard firmware v1.20, TeleDyne
DALSA has added a design that offers in-camera JPEG compression to both
the models based on the DALSA Vouvray sensor (5, 8 and 12M monochrome
models) and the Cmosis CMV sensors (2 and 4M monochrome models). Additionally,
for the Genie TS models based on the CMOSIS CMV sensors (2 and 4M monochrome
models), Teledyne DALSA offer a third design that allows doubling the
speed of acquisition to internal memory.
The following table lists
the Genie TS Monochrome camera firmware designs currently available

Standard Design
v 1.20 |
Encompasses all features released
in previous firmware versions along with new features. This design
is GigE Vision 1.2 compliant and requires GigE Vision 1.2 or greater
compliant GigE Vision third party software. For Sapera LT users,
this design is compatible with the Genie TS Framework v1.00 or greater. |
|
|
JPEG Design v 1.20 |
Initial JPEG Firmware release.
This design is GigE Vision 2.0 compliant and requires GigE Vision
2.0 or greater compliant GigE Vision host software. For Sapera LT
users, the minimum Genie TS Framework required is 1.20 or greater.
The JPEG camera firmware and feature set supports the output of
JPG images. This is an advanced processing design to provide JPEG
image accelerated compression, maximizing frame rate transmission
over Ethernet. |
|
|
Fast Design v 1.20 |
Initial release. Camera
firmware and feature set streamlined for accelerated acquisition
speed (2x). This firmware omits various processing features to achieve
the Fast Mode Design goals. This Design is GigE Vision 1.2 compliant
and requires GigE Vision 1.2 or greater compliant GigE Vision host
software. For Sapera LT users, this design is compatible with the
Genie TS Framework v1.00 or greater. |
