The Ladybug camera series was first established in 2002 and since then, Teledyne FLIR have released 6 camera models. Across its 22-year-lifespan, the Ladybug series has remained a market-leader and continually raised the bar in the spherical imaging marketplace.
With Sony Pregius Global Shutter CMOS sensors, the Ladybug5+ delivers outstanding image quality across a wide range of lighting conditions. The Ladybug5+ provides a great solution to outdoor and indoor applications with low noise and a high dynamic range. There is no solar smearing in outdoor images. Fast f/2.5 lenses enable excellent low-light image quality.
The latest version, the Ladybug6, offers unparalleled performance when it comes to spherical images from a moving platform. It builds on Teledyne FLIR's long-line of Ladybug cameras with increased image resolution, enhanced on-board processing, and robust IP67-rated connectors. With support for additional Global Navigation Satellite Systems and advanced APIs, combined with hardware inputs, precise camera settings and trigger control is enabled. The Ladybug6 captures, compresses, and transmits 8-bit or 12-bit pixel data with on-board image processing for optimized workflows. The Ladybug6 is available in either a black or red coloured housing.
Each Ladybug® camera is supported by a robust Software Development Kit (SDK) that facilitates control over camera settings, 360-degree image capture, and the creation of panoramic images and videos. The SDK includes the LadybugCapPro application for Windows and source code examples to help you quickly start developing in C, C++, or C#. Comprehensive technical documentation is provided for camera integration, and an extensive API software library with detailed reference materials supports custom application development.
