Common Vision Blox Software now GigE Vision and GenICam compatible

The latest release of Common Vision Blox meets the new standards GigE Vision and GenICam. Furthermore CVB 9.0.1 is now providing Wizards for VB.Net, VC.Net and C#.Net.

Common Vision Blox is the software library for machine vision with more than 30 sophisticated tools. Common Vision Blox is an open architecture, hardware independent toolkit that supports both PC and embedded smart camera technology. Classical programming via compilers as well as modern programming via GUI can be applied with this powerful software platform.

Some of the tools CVB has avaliable are:

  • Search and read
  • Measuring
  • Surface inspection
  • Colour processing
  • Image preprocessing
  • Image capture
  • Control of hardware components

The recent release 9.0.1 of STEMMER IMAGING´s machine vision software library includes updates for the CVB Image Manager, the CVB Foundation Package plus the Tools and enhances Common Vision Blox 9.0 with many great new features. As one of the first image processing software packages worldwide Common Vision Blox now meets the specifications of the machine vision standards GigE Vision and GenICam.

To strengthen CVB´s support for the widest range of compilers, some useful Wizards have been added for the Microsoft .NET-Languages, making CVB the first vision development environment to offer wizards for VB.Net, VC.Net and C#.Net. The CVB display speed has been further enhanced by almost 50% which raises the transfer rate from memory into the display from 80 MB/s to 120 MB/s. A new file format enables the user to load a list of images from hard disk or via a network. Particularly interesting is the new emulator function that allows you to test your application by running a continuous simulation using these images to mimic the action of a real frame grabber. The internal pixel lists have been reworked and optimized resulting in a significant overall performance increase in all tools and functions that use these lists.

You can download CVB and the Service Pack 1 at no cost from the CVB web site at: www.commonvisionblox.com from the new download section (menu item "Service"). All that is required is an existing installation of Common Vision Blox 9.0 and it will automatically update the present components.
