3D
flat-surface imaging made more robust
Halcon 13 offers improved surface-based 3D matching for flat surfaces
applications.
Particularly supportive of picking-of-boxes applications, the
new algorithm analyzes the edges of the model and the 3D scene
making ambiguities in flat surfaces solvable and the finding of
objects. in their exact positions, made more robust.
Halcon 13, additionally, offers a new and higher-quality way of
reconstructing 3D objects from multiple cameras by using the information
from all camera view simultaneously. This capability leads to
more robust results than were previously possible using the common
stereo reconstruction methods.
Further, colour information transferred by HALCON 13 from the
input images to the reconstructed object results in better visualisation
or for further processing, for example, by a 3D printer.
